The Fruits and Flowers are arrayed just as the Herend Masters finished them, down to the last painstaking brush stroke learnt from their forerunners. It is as if we have dropped in unexpectedly, in the middle of the meal, because the Fruit has been started. This is a Décor for those who like to feel in the thick of things. This pattern was conceived as a more contemporary version of the more traditional Bouquet de Fruits. Its basis is a Richly-Coloured composition of Fruits and Flowers. The dominant feature of the pattern is a Group of Garden and Forest Fruits, placed in the centre, and painted with fine brushstrokes. Whole and halved
Apples, Pears, Peaches, Lemons and Ripe Red Strawberries are surrounded by a framework of Raspberries and Cherries, Dark Blue Blackberries, Bilberries, and duskier Medlars and Mushrooms. Around these are Flowers with red, blue, yellow and orange petals, and bright green leaves to complete the harmony of the Design. The whole effect is further enriched by small, scattered Flowers, Fruits and garden Plants. This is a design intended to evoke all the pleasures of a laden table. It is available in Twelve different Variants, and may also be finished with a Coloured Fish-Scale Border, CFR-ET.
